The conference will provide substantial financial support to help the symposia organizers in attracting outstanding invited speakers including free registration and travel costs for 3 invited speakers per symposia. To submit your proposal please click on the link and follow the instructions. The submission deadline for the symposia is on 1st September 2017. Successful applications will be confirmed by 15th September 2017.
Instruction for symposia application
Each symposium starts with 2-3 invited speakers (30 min each, including Q&A), and are followed by 2-4 contributed presentation (15 min each including Q&A). The symposium proposals should include the symposium title, names of 1-2 proposed invited speakers capable of delivering a talk of high quality and wide interest. The proposed invited speakers should have agreed to accept the invitation in principle when the proposal is submitted. Please explain to all proposed invited speakers that the invitation is conditional on funding of the proposal.
The conference will cover the registration fee, accommodation fee, and the travel costs (by train or economic class flight) for at most three invited speakers per symposia. The symposium organizers will also select other contributed speakers from the submitted abstracts by registered delegates. The scientific organizing committee may suggest one additional invited speaker per symposium at no cost to the symposium.
The symposium topic will be selected by the scientific organizing committee according to the quality of the proposals and the breath of interest. Other criteria include the cross-disciplinary view, representation of the geographic diversity, and the gender diversity among speakers. We encourage organizers to first consider the speakers from Asian area in their symposium. However, this is by no means to discourage speakers outside Asia.
Please note that the scientific organizing committee may contact the symposium organizers to discuss about speaker selection after the deadline of abstract submission.
